Maison Millet
Medium-sized table in gilded bronze, Louis XVI style. Work from Maison Millet at the end of the 19th century, around 1890.
The Falcon-eye stone veneer tabletop rests on an openwork surround of rose garlands on a bluish steel background, supported by legs carved with caryatids and topped with baskets of flowers and fruits. It is connected by a centred strut with a flowery vase and finished with tapered legs with twisted grooves.
Engraved underneath the tabletop MILLET/… BRONZES D’ART / 50 RUE SAINT SABIN.
