Adolphe Itasse

Adolphe Itasse is admitted to the Paris School of Fine Arts in the studios of Jean-Hilaire Belloc and Georges Jacquot.
He exhibited regularly at the Salon for French artists from 1864. He was awarded a third class medal in 1875, then a medal of honour at the Paris Universal Exhibition of 1889.
He is buried in Paris in the Père-Lachaise cemetery, where his grave is decorated with a bronze bust and a cherub, works of his daughter Jeanne, with the inscription “Venerable father, late master”.
