Beautiful epergne – Maison Christofle

Magnificent table centrepiece in silvered bronze, composed of four basins surrounded by laurel garlands, overlooked by a flat and vibrant base in a frame.
Two seated winged putti face one another, one handing out flowers, the other feeding birds. Each are supported by a violin-shaped base, openwork and lattice work with hanging flower garlands, connecting the middle with a ribboned cartouche.
Supported by four scrolled feet, adorned with acanthus leaves.

Inspired by Louis XVI style.
French work from the end of the 19th century, around 1890-1900.
