Oxblood pendulum clock
Rare Louis XVI style centre pendulum in an ovoid shape with a lid, in enamelled ceramic imported from China in oxblood colour.
Very beautiful decoration of engraved and gilded bronzes, adorned with two mermaids on either side, clasping a laurel garland in their hands. The gilt bronze neck, with interlacing and rosette patterns, supports a bronze cover with acanthus leaves, crowned with a pinecone.
The pendulum rests on a pivoting piédouche in gilded bronze and a square base.
