Pair of Empire style candelabra – Model WINGED PHEME KNEELING
Pair of candelabra from the Empire period in patinated and gilded bronze, each representing a figure of winged Pheme on her knees, supporting a column’s capital on her head, emitting three light branches connected to a shaft and crowned with a pine cone.
Each rests on a rectangular base in red griotte marble, adorned with patterns
of hanging garlands, laurel wreaths and trumpets.
Gilded bronze base decorated with raies de cœur and supporting plinths.
Empire period.
French work around 1810.
