Pair of planters – Manufacture de Sèvres

Exceptional pair of planters in polychrome porcelain and Parisian gold.
Richly decorated with engraved and gilded bronze, as seen on the four-legged base with coils joined by hanging draperies. Similarly the handles; the neck has a frieze of stylized fleur-de-lis.
The body has a big blue background and an engraved oval medallion with a fine intricate decoration of portraits of women supported by putti.
Framed with a decoration of gold foliage in relief and a frieze of white enamelled pearls.
