Magnificent and rare centre inkwell in silvered bronze and vermeil,Regence style.
The sinuous-shaped base, with cut-outs and motifs of scallops and acanthus leaves, releases two small scrolled feet on the facade. The tray features two bodets on either side with twists and flutes, covered by a lid, framed by a penholder, adorned with a satyr mask and detachable lid.
French work from the second half of the XIX century, circa 1880.
