Set of corner cupboards by DASSON HENRY

DASSON Henry

Exceptional set of corner cupboards in mahogany veneer from Cuba. It is decorated by richly chiseled gold-colored bronze, representing water leaves, ovate and flower and foliage garlands. Built in Hungarian oak.
They open up by a big drawer at the waist and a large symmetrical central door with double frames. The posts are detached columns in gold-colored bronze, with a drawn out baluster pattern resting on the claws of a lion. Gilt bronze tops and clogs feet. Top in red griotte marble.

Louis XVI style. Based on the interpretation of a model made by Martin Carlin (18th century), conserved at the Château de Versailles.
Stamped: Henri DASSON and dated 1883 on the back of the left post.
