Magnificent Louis XVI style pedestal table with a speckled mahogany and amaranth veneer with a thuja conifer gem and gilded bronze. The surround is decorated with friezes of canals, florets and garlands of flowers embellished with a ribbon. A draw opens on each of its four sides. The tapered fluted feet are joined by an X-shaped openwork support in the style of Weisweiler and are supporting a vase resembling the head of a faun, whilst resting on small spinning top feet. Red Griotte marble top.
French work of the second half of the 19th century around 1860
